Connect a social media account

Steps

1. Open Library, then the Integrations tab.
2. Find the service and click its button: Add for YouTube and Twitch, Connect for Instagram. The word changes because the step changes — see below.
3. For YouTube and Twitch, paste the handle or the channel address. For Instagram, you are sent to the platform to authorise TinyLink: it asks for your consent, never us.
4. The account shows as connected, with its content already loaded. The rest happens in the page builder, where you choose what each block displays.

What we read, and what we do not

Only what is public on your account: its name, its picture, its counters, its latest post. Never your messages, never your drafts, and we never publish anything on your behalf.

That is what the two words mean. For YouTube and Twitch you add a channel: the data is already visible to everyone, there is nothing to authorise and no password to type — nothing checks that the channel is yours, either. For Instagram you connect an account: the platform asks for your consent, and it asks you, never us.

How often the content updates

A robot refreshes your connected accounts continuously: roughly every ten minutes for Twitch, whose live status is only worth showing when fresh, and every hour for the others. Your pages never call the platforms: they display the last known content. That is what keeps them fast, and what stops a YouTube outage from breaking your page.

How many accounts you can connect

It depends on your plan, and the counter at the top of the tab reminds you. The free plan allows one account: enough to show your channel and your latest video, since one account feeds as many blocks as you like, on as many pages as you like.

Disconnecting an account

The Remove button — Disconnect for an authorised account — removes the account and its content. The blocks of your pages that displayed it are not lost: they are archived with their last content, and leave your pages. You find them again in the Archived tab of the builder, to restore them as ordinary links or delete them.

An account that needs reconnecting

An authorisation has an end, and its owner can withdraw it. When that happens, the card says so and a Reconnect button appears: one click is enough, there is nothing to redo. Meanwhile your blocks keep showing the last content received rather than disappearing.
