Shorten a link from your browser
When it opens, the extension fills the field with the tab's address. All that is left is to pick a slug, or click Shorten straight away.
Steps
- On the page you want to share, click the TinyLink icon in the browser toolbar: the Shorten tab opens with the page's address in the Link to shorten field. You can replace it with any other address.
- Optional: type a slug, the end of the short address (
tnlnk.fr/back-to-school). Spaces become hyphens and accents are removed as you type. Left empty, TinyLink picks one. - Under QR code, pick None, TinyLink (with logo), No logo or one of the environment's templates: the extension remembers it for next time.
- Click Shorten. The short link is created and copied to your clipboard right away.
After shortening
The result screen shows the short link, its destination and, if you asked for it, the QR code, to download as PNG or SVG. Without a QR code, pick a template then click Generate the QR code to create it afterwards; with one, the same list and Regenerate replace it with another template. Edit in TinyLink opens the link in the app, for its statistics, tags or a password; Shorten another link takes you back to the form.
